Can monsters cause disruption?

I was looking in the rule book and only units with at least 2 full ranks of 5 attacking in the flank or rear can cause disruption. What about monsters? Do you need 10 dragons in 2 ranks to cause disruption to a unit of 15 goblins? Any thoughts?

Yes - 8th edition took away the concept of US, you must have ranked units in the side or rear to negate ranks. Steadfast ( stubborn if more ranks than opponent) is also not removed by side and rear units.

Fast cav/skirmishers also cannot negate ranks ( as they don't have ranks).
